St. Stanislaus out to arrest Police

The Georgetown Cricket Association’s (GCA) Carib Beer T20 first-division, Noble House Seafood’s two-day second-division, Hadi’s two-day division-one and the NBS 40-overs-a-side, second-division competitions are all set to continue this weekend with a number of exciting matches.

Today and tomorrow (Sunday) the Guyana Defence Force cricketers will battle the Georgetown Cricket Club at Bourda in the lone Hadi’s division-one competition.

There are two Noble House Seafoods second-division matches on today and tomorrow. At the Malteenoes Sports Club ground the Guyana Defence Force will tackle Transport Sports Club while St Stanislaus will look to arrest the Guyana Police Force cricketers at Eve Leary.

The limited overs leg will see two T20 first-division games being played at Queenstown with Everest against University of Guyana from 09:30hrs while the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) will square off against the Guyana National Industrial Corporation (GNIC) from 13:30hrs at the DCC ground in Queenstown.

Tomorrow’s Carib Beer T20 matches will see Police against Malteenoes at 9:30hrs, followed by the Everest/GYO encounter at 13:30hrs. All two matches will be played at Camp Road.

Today’s NBS second division 40-overs-a-side competition will pit Third Class against Sophia at GNIC while Everest tackles host Gandhi Youth Organisation at Camp Road.

Tomorrow, GCC plays UG at GNIC and DCC faces GNIC at home in Queenstown.

Last weekend’s matches saw full dominance by the GDF boys, compliments of Marcus Watkins’ ton and Leon Andrews 82 and 12-for which set up a 112-run hammering over Saints in their Noble House two-day match, making this weekend’s fixtures a mouthwatering two-days for cricket fans.
