The nine-member group, which performs devotional acts in the form of plays or ‘Leelas’ as they pay homage to Lord Krishna, held a free performance last evening at the National Culture Centre and will hold a second one in New Amsterdam tomorrow.

According to a press release, the troupe is well known for its folk dance and music performances throughout India and other parts of the world. The group’s plays and dances which are regularly performed, showcase indigenous culture from the Indian state of Rajasthan. The group’s visits and performances here are through a collaboration between the Indian Commemorative Trust and the Indian High Commission.
