LUCAS STOCK INDEX
The Lucas Stock Index (LSI) edged up 0.16 percent during the final period of trading in July 2016. The stocks of five companies were traded with 43,075 shares changing hands. There were two Climbers and two Tumblers. The stocks of Banks DIH (DIH) rose 3.43 percent on the sale of 10,500 shares. The stocks of Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) rose 9.09 percent on the sale of 20,800 shares. The stocks of Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC) fell 0.10 percent on the sale of 175 shares while the stocks of Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (BTI) fell 10.45 percent on the sale of 10,600 shares. In the meanwhile, the stocks of Caribbean Container Inc. remained unchanged on the sale of 1,000 shares.
