TVG facing loss of licence

TVG Guyana Inc (Channel 28), which is owned by businessman Bobby Ramroop, has failed to submit its financial records to the Board of the Guyana National Broadcasting Authority (GNBA) and if this situation persists will get no broadcast licence for 2016.

This is according to GNBA Director Anthony Vieira. This revelation was made during a press conference held at the Authority’s Kingston office yesterday.

Asked specifically to address the television station’s refusal to provide its financial statements as requested by the Board, Vieira said that is yet to be done.“To the best of my knowledge, he still has not presented his accounts,” he told reporters.

Asked what happens next, Vieira said, “He ain’t gon see a licence for 2016.”
