I welcome Harry Hergash’s information on the Austin Princess used by Burnham (SN, May 6) captioned ‘Burnham’s first car as PM was an Austin Princess’. I had discovered it in a holding bay. I am certain that the author’s commentary is accurate.
My collection of the inaugural Mass Games 1981 photos shows that the late LFS Burnham was chauffered in a black vehicle and I wanted to establish if it was the said vehicle. Next to the black vehicle is a white vehicle which might be the open-backed white cadillac which was used to chauffer General Gowon of Nigeria on a state visit to Guyana in 1975.
