Compton held the Micoud North seat before his death

Dear Editor,

I read your editorial this morning and wish to point you to a minor correction in paragraph 8, ie, the Micoud South constituency was the original seat of Sir John Compton. The outgoing MP for the past three terms, Arsene James (UWP) has passed the baton to Allen Chastanet of the UWP.

Jeanine Compton is contesting the Micoud North seat, held by her father before his death. She is an independent candidate in a three-way contest against incumbent Dr Gale Rigobert (UWP) and Herbert Roserie of the SLP.

Yours faithfully,

Ignatius Jean
