Dear Editor,
To date Guyana has not won a medal ‒ gold, silver or bronze ‒ at the ongoing Olympics Games now underway in neighbouring Brazil.
We are wondering if by some stroke of luck a wreath of olive branches would be placed on any of our winner’s heads. We patriots are all keeping our fingers and hands and even legs crossed hoping that we may just get at least a silver.
