$700,000 up for grabs in Unity Cricket Softball

Seven hundred thousand dollars will be up for grabs in the Unity Cricket Softball matches at the Providence Stadium today in five exciting games from 10:00 hrs in the first major softball event to be held at the Stadium.

The Open 10/10 semi-finals involving Berbice Karibee Rice Boyz, Essequibo, Regals and Wolf Warriors will be played for a first prize of $200,000 while the runners-up will receive $100,000, the third place team $50,000 and fourth place $50,000. The winners of the semi-finals will clash in a grand final at 16:30 hrs.

Berbice Masters and their Demerara counterparts will compete for a winner’s prize of $100,000 while the runners-up will get $50,000.

Berbice Karibee Rice Girls will next face-off with Demerara Girls with the winner taking home $100,000 and the losers collecting $50,000 in what should be a riveting affair.

A fun day for children will also be held on the Tarmac while the feature event pits the top players in West Indies T20 playing for one million dollars and the President’s trophy.

This game will see the likes of West Indies T20 Captain Darren Sammy, Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Jason Holder, Lendl Simmons, Dwayne Smith, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Devendra Bishoo, Veerasammy Permaul, Rajendra Chandrika and others.

Meanwhile, Trophy Stall has contributed the President’s Trophy for the T20 match along with the Man-of-the-Match trophy, the winner’s trophy for the Demerara against Berbice Masters and the Man-of-the-Match trophy for that game.

Trophy Stall is also providing the championship trophy for the female game and for the player of the match in that game

Trophy Stall is also is sponsoring the uniform of the Demerara female team and will also provide all of the soft balls.
