Milo schools U20 football c/ships continues this weekend

Following a grand opening day featuring hundreds of spectators the second match day of the fourth annual Milo Schools U20 football championships will commence this morning at the Ministry of Education ground on Carifesta Avenue.

In the opening fixture at 11:00hrs, Carmel Secon-dary will oppose Richard Ishmael while the second matchup will pit Christ Church against Sir Leon Lessons from 12:30hrs.

The third matchup will then witness Central High opposing School of the Nations from 14:00hrs whilst in the final encounter at 15:30hrs, Bishops’ High will lock horns with South Ruim-veldt Secondary.

The action will then continue tomorrow at the same venue with another four fixtures. In the curtain raiser, St. John’s College will lock horns with inaugural champs St. George’s High from 11:00hrs.

In the second fixture of the day, Freeburg Secon-dary will match skills with Mae’s Secondary from 12:30hrs while Queens-town Secondary will faceoff with Tutorial Secon-dary in the third matchup at 1400hrs.

The final showdown of the day will witness Charlestown Secondary battling St. Rose’s High from 15:30hrs. Winner of the event will walk away with the championship trophy and $500,000 towards a school project.

The second, third and fourth place finishers will receive $300,000, $200,000 and $100,000 correspondingly towards the funding of a school initiative and the respective trophy.
