Berbician Mohamed is top bodybuilder

Once again its a muscleman from Berbice.

For the second consecutive year, a bodybuilder from the Ancient County has taken the spoils of the Novices Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship.

Faroud Mohamed of the Corriverton based Tej Mohal Gym brought his talents to the city on Saturday night and used his sharp physique to slice through the competition and take the overall spoils of the annual event held at the Theatre Guild.

Bacchus’ physique popped in the all right places, leading to a popping sound backstage, the sound of a celebratory bottle of champagne.

Before claiming the overall trophy in the pose down of categorical winners, the crowd favourite clad in an olive pouch, posed and flexed his way to the under 132-pound title besting four other musclemen.

Despite lacking freaky mass and striations, Mohamed outfitted with rippling abdominals, obliques, pecs, wide shoulders and a slim waist brought the tools necessary to get the job done against the young and upcoming bodybuilders. The judges agreed and the patrons at the packed venue applauded in approval.

Men’s Physique

In what was an easy choice, the judges awarded the Men’s Physique Showdown trophy to Fitness Paradise’s Alain Vincente ahead of Shelvin Nurse and Bodymaxx’s Travis Trotman. Mohamed changed into board shorts to claim fourth.

Among a group of 12 physique competitors, Vincente brought the shape and stage presence the judges most wanted to see.

He was confident, well-proportioned, well-muscled and not overly conditioned.
