Christopher Cornelius, Raphael Leung, Andrew Hicks and Jornell Yearwood have been selected by the Guyana Cycling Federation (GCF) to represent Guyana at the Caribbean Junior Cycling Championships in St Lucia July 30-31.
This was confirmed yesterday by Randolph Roberts who has been named Manager/Coach.
According the Roberts, the team is scheduled to wing out July 29.
Roberts, who is the president of the Flying Ace Cycle Club, which organizes several races in Berbice, told this publication that the team is formidable, experienced and that he expects them to excel.
Berbice-based Hicks has been dominating events in that part of the country. He, however, finished runner up to Cornelius in the time trial (junior) championships last month.
Cornelius also won the junior road race title when the National Cycling Championships was staged a few weeks ago.
