Soft Drinks Plant whip Stores at tapeball cricket

Soft Drinks Plant whipped Stores by eight wickets when the Banks DIH Limited GT Beer Inter-Department tapeball cricket competition continued Tuesday at Thirst Park.

Batting first in a reduced 10-overs-a-side contest, Stores struggled to 76/3 from their allotted overs.

Judell McAllister top scored with 20 while Sherwin Ellis chipped in with 17.

Shiv Parmanand took 1-21 from his two overs.  In reply, Soft Drinks romped to 77-2 with three overs remaining.

Jamal Brewster, 15 not out, Parmanand, 15 Milroy Gomes, 14, and Tyrell Abel, 13 were the main contributors.

Elias had bowling figures of 1for 15.

The event resumes today at the same venue with another preliminary match.
