gospelAt a recent press conference PEKS band member Peculiar Ihunwo said, “The most important thing, it’s not just African music; it’s African drama, dance and food. It’s a combination of Africa. African music represents harmony, that we trained ourselves for right from when we were little. Its different African countries bringing you an African blend of praise. Come December 17. Guyana don’t want to miss out on this.”

Also presenting will be some of Guyana’s finest artistes; one of whom is renowned gospel artiste Shawn English. “This is a cultural festival and is a good representation of what Africa can feel like instead of having to fly all the way to Africa.

My ambition is to give God praise through song and dance,” English said at the press conference

Seated among them also and out of Nigeria was Esther Ndubueze who added, “We want to bring you to a place where the atmosphere feels different. It’s gonna be a thick environment. We are creating a safe environment for you to practice your ‘Africanism’. This is not just an African thing but for every race in Guyana so come out. It’s gonna be exciting!”
