Sophia couple held over pistol, ganja

Police ranks in ‘A’ Division acting on information received went to a house at ‘E’ Field South Sophia about 10.30 pm on Friday and conducted a search which revealed an unlicensed 9MM Smith and Wesson Pistol with three live matching rounds and twelve grams of suspected cannabis.

A 33 yr old mason and his 32 yr old spouse have been arrested and are assisting with the investigation, a release from the police on Saturday said. This police photo shows the items found.
