Tower Suites driver gets bail on causing death charge

A Tower Suites Hotel driver has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

Wayne Christiani, 22, was granted his release on $400,000 bail yesterday after he denied the charge that on April 22nd, at Eccles Public

Road, he drove a car, PRR 2605, in a manner dangerous to the public, thereby causing the death of William Stanford.

Christiani, of Lot 253 Republic Park, East Bank Demerara, was represented by attorney Keoma Griffith, who appeared in association with attorney Mark Waldron and who requested reasonable bail for him.

Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan subsequently granted Christiani bail and ordered that he report to the Providence Police Station every Friday.

The matter was then adjourned to May 17th.
