We read in the Stabroek News that “Fresh from its recent discovery of oil at the Payara well site, US firm ExxonMobil is preparing to begin drilling at a new site in the Stabroek Block offshore of Demerara.”
The question that is constantly been asked by Guyanese is would the multi-million dollar ExxonMobil be providing employment to unemployed Guyanese youth.
We trust that not only foreigners would be employed, but also our own Guyanese unemployed youths and adults. We may not have all the skilled personnel immediately but ExxonMobil should train some of them.
