Bulls pip Celtics 104-103

(The Sports Xchange) – The Chicago Bulls hit all 22 of their free throws, including a pair by Jimmy Butler with 0.9 seconds left after a touch foul call, to edge the Boston Celtics 104-103 at the United Center.

Trailing 103-102, Butler drew a foul on Marcus Smart off a jump shot on Chicago’s final possession.

The Bulls’ leading scorer stepped to the free-throw line and drilled both foul shots, making him nine-for-nine for the game and giving him 29 points.

Butler added seven assists for Chicago. Isaiah Thomas led the Celtics with 29 points.

 

Wizards 111, Pacers 98

Otto Porter Jr had 25 points and eight rebounds as Washington led from start to finish in knocking off struggling Indiana.

The Wizards also got 21 points and seven rebounds from Markieff Morris, John Wall had 20 points and 12 assists, and Bradley Beal added 19 points.

Myles Turner and Paul George each had 17 points to lead the Pacers.
