Easter Classic Masters Football

All roads will lead to the Tucville Community Centre ground tonight when the Easter Classic Masters Football Championship officially commences with an exciting tournament from 18:00hrs.

In the opening fixture, Beacons FC will lock horns with Rasta Patriots. In the feature contest of the evening at 20:00hrs, Wales will match skills with Santos FC. The three day knockout tournament will resume tomorrow at the same venue with another doubleheader.

At 18:00hrs, Park Rangers will match skills with Thomas United, while the main affair will pit Plaisance against Pele from 20:00hrs. The event concludes on Sunday evening with the resulting winners of the aforesaid matches battling in the semi-final round; with the winners advancing to the final.

Winner of the event will receive $75,000 compliments of the Guyana Beverage Incorporated and the Bounty Farm sponsored championship trophy. The second placed unit will receive $25,000 sponsored by Star Party Rentals and the DeSinco Trading trophy. The third place finisher will walk away with the Jermaine’s Enterprise sponsored accolade.
