Designer Shan Anthony Seecharran under the label SAS Designs will tomorrow night release his latest line ‘Golden Treasure’ at the Millennium Manor Hotel on Hadfield Street.
This is his third line, the launch of which will coincide with his birth night.
“I’ll be releasing my ready to wear clothing line and swim wear collection. For my ready wear I’m keeping simple but I’ve a few show stoppers,” said Shan, giving The Scene a sneak peek of the designs to be launched.
Although he mentioned that there will be a few show stoppers, it is believed that he is being modest as Shan seems to only make show stoppers, having designed for two queens, Miss Emancipation 2016 Delisha Wright and ex-Miss India Guyana 2016 Brittany Singh. He also designed for contestants of the Miss Universe Guyana 2016 Pageant and is currently sketching designs for four ladies competing in this year’s Miss Guyana World pageant qualifying level.
Apart from ‘Golden Treasure’ SAS Designs has also launched ‘Fresh Blooms’, which successfully kick started Shan’s designing career, and ‘SAS Bridal’ which was released early last year.
“I choose to name [this collection] Golden Treasure because I value my career/clothing line as much as people value gold,” the designer share.
Tomorrow night’s launch is expected to be one of elegance and couture, simple yet elaborate.
Expected to be in attendance is designer Quinton Pearson of House of Pearson, who will be showcasing his clothing line as well. It will be a packed programme with some of Guyana’s finest models, dancers and singers including Miss Emancipation 2016 Delisha Wright who is expected to give an exceptional performance, being a songbird herself.
“This is a show you can’t afford to miss. It will be awesome….one incredible night….one to remember. Bring a friend,” the designer encouraged.
Tickets are $2500 (regular) and $4000 (VIP which includes cocktail and cake). Show starts at 7pm.
