The Guyana-China Business Council has raised $5.5M for the ongoing clean-up work around Georgetown and its environs, a release from the council said today.Chairman of the Council, Clinton Williams said a number of companies have come on-board.In this regard, the release said that China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) yesterday donated $1M to assist in the clean-up activities.Several other Chinese companies have made contributions totalling $4.5M.In this photo, CHEC's Kevin Wang (right) hands over cheque to Coordinator of the clean up activities, Larry London.
