Sterling Products Limited (SPL) facilitated 13 students in its annual work study programme this year. The company held a ceremony on August 28 at which the students received gifts and were recognized for their performance, a release from the company said.

GDF presents 60 with Bursaries for 2014

Wonetta Semple, Acquino Luke, and Sonia Lynch were the top three awardees when the Guyana Defence Force awarded 60 Bursaries valued $25,000 each, to children who successfully completed the National Grade Six Examinations and gained places at secondary schools, a release from the GDF said yesterday.

Yachts set for rally

Sailing off from Trinidad and Tobago on September 1, the Nereid Yachting Rally is again in Guyana’s waters with participants from the United Kingdom, Argentina, Israel, Italy, France, United States, Switzerland and Australia.
