Mexico to grant residency to 588 stranded Cubans

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – Mexico said on Friday it would grant residency permits to 588Cubans who were stranded in the north of the country after the United States ended its “wet-foot, dry-foot” policy, which had given legal status to almost every Cuban to reach US soil.

Three held over newspaper vendor robbery

Three persons have been detained in connection with the armed robbery committed on newspaper vendor Sebastian Ramsuchit and his family two Saturdays ago and they are expected to be placed on an identification tomorrow, according to Commander of ‘A’ Division Clifton Hicken.
