Doctor transferred from Leonora Hospital following Stabroek News report on staffing

Following a December 13, 2021 Stabroek News report highlighting doctors’ complaints that the Leonora Hospital was short of staff, this newspaper has learnt that a doctor was promptly transferred in what will be seen as an attempt to target persons who are suspected of providing information on the situation at the institution.

In addition to significantly reducing the traffic congestion faced daily by commuters on the East Bank Demerara, the new Diamond to Mocha interlink road will open up between 300-400 acres of land for  industrial and commercial development, President Irfaan Ali said yesterday morning.
