Dear Editor,  Mr Freddie Kissoon and I have never met formally or ever engaged in serious conversation.

Dear Editor, Please permit me to respond to the letter captioned ‘The chairman and vice- chairman of a region are elected by members of the Regional Democratic Council,’ by Mr Archie W Cordis which was published in the Stabroek News of Janurary 21, and which conveys an incorrect impression of the election for the chairman and vice-chairman of a PPP/C-won region.

Dear Editor, The GRA, after being validly criticized by citizens of this country for the confusion and congestion which prevails each year when motor vehicle licences have to be renewed, and after having its aggressive Commissioner General, in true Jagdeoite fashion, delight in ‘busing’ and ‘cussing down’ these very citizens who pay him a handsome tax-free salary every month, has decided to introduce a new system which it says will alleviate the confusion and congestion.

Dear Editor, Recently the Upper Corentyne Chamber of Commerce and Mr Bankay were on CTV Channel 19 (a local television station in Corriverton) to promote a housing area at No 75 Springlands Garden, Corriverton.

Dear Editor, It’s been a perpetual piece of misinformation, ignored principally by the M&CC which presumably is responsible for naming streets and erecting street signs (latterly with active support from the private sector).

Dear Editor, Recently a letter was published in SN by me about the reckless dumping of garbage on the public road at Byderabo, Bartica.

Dear Editor, Reading the Stabroek News of January 18, about the PPP addressing the issue of loss of voters, Ralph Ramkarran accused the opposition of abandoning convention and that APNU in collusion with its junior partner the AFC unashamedly deployed its majoritarian will in parliament.

Dear Editor, I have been playing chess for over five decades now and although I am not competitive, nor have I played in tournaments I have kept a close association with the game. 

Dear Editor, The Thomas United Football Club (TUFC) was started by Mr Johnson, a teacher, on April 1, 1960 at Thomas Lands YMCA, Kingston, and is the second oldest club around after GFC.

Dear Editor, The debate between the Guyana Nurses’ Association and the Ministry of Health needs to be better enlightened, if only for the benefit of those persons who are likely, however reluctantly, to be patients of public health facilities.

Dear Editor, When the synthetic track at Leonora village is finally completed in 2012-2013, it will be a booster for West Coast Demerara (Region 3) since all track meets will be hosted there.

Dear Editor, Living in the interior is a very wonderful experience; there are lots of places to explore, especially those such as Port Kaituma or Matthew’s Ridge.

Dear Editor, The Attorney General, Mr Anil Nandlall, was afforded prominence for his response to my letter in all three dailies (‘It behoves any executive…‘ SN, Jan 18; ‘AG needs to clarify…‘ SN, Jan 15).

Dear Editor, The bowing to the feet of the Indian President Pratibha Patil by TT’s Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar during her recent Pravasi Samman honour in Jaipur has evoked much controversy in Trinidad (SN, Jan 19, 20). 

Dear Editor, I am a dissatisfied customer of Guyana Power & Light at Onverwagt, West Coast Berbice.

Dear Editor, Help & Shelter wishes to register its abhorrence and outrage at the continuing escalation of domestic violence murders and rape of women and children.

Dear Editor, I refer to your article ‘Three on cocaine, ganja trafficking’ set out at p2 of the Stabroek News of Saturday, January 21, 2012.

Dear Editor, During the last Test match between Australia and India in the current series being played Down Under, I noted what, in my opinion, was a not too subtle suggestion by some commentators that Sachin Tendulkar should only be compared to the Sir Donald Bradman in terms of who is the greatest batsman ever.

Dear Editor, I tried recently to find out who are the new members of parliament and it was difficult to know who they are and what expertise they bring to the parliament.

Dear Editor, I am deeply disturbed after reading about the horrific incident that allegedly transpired with the young boys who were molested in the heart of my community and from all appearances at a place which is supposed to be ‘safe.’
