Letters in Chronicle are fictitious
Dear Editor,
I am not sure whether you would normally read the Guyana Chronicle newspaper, but if you do, I am positive that you would usually vomit or burn the papers after you have read its mountain of lies and propaganda. There is a small group of politically paid letter writers who use false names to protect their identities and their views (or the government’s rather) that will always take centre stage in the letters’ column.
On a few failed occasions I have written to this newspaper without the knowledge that my letters would never be printed, simply because they were arguments about this government and the incompetent and terrible job their unqualified ministers have done. I was later informed that the Guyana Chronicle is controlled by GINA.
It’s a well known fact that once you are aware of your enemy plans then you can easily defeat him/her; maybe the opposition parties should read the letters and they will know what the government is telling the supporters about them.
One of the many shocking discoveries that I made was in the letter section during the first week of February this year. One writer who has never met or had any conversation with me or who is not aware of my political affiliations decided to dedicate her letter to the subject of the Mayor, Mr Hamilton Green, Mr Oliver Hinckson and myself.
Ms Kimberley James, another fictitious name created by a well-known female Guyanese politician, stated that we were the new PNCR evil advocates and were carrying out the works of the opposition party. This is only one of the letters that was written during this period and they were all pointing in one direction.
Today this trend continues and it will never stop because it’s the only way that the PPP/C can get their views to their supporters.
Yours faithfully,
Dorian Massay

on May 27th, 2008 6:01 amIs this the same guy that allegedly stole someone’s credit card and was dismissed from the army? Is this the guy that is in the courts at the moment on gun charges?
These people should be in jail not giving advice to honest, hardworking citizens. The Public Service (99% PNC supporters) are also a cause of the Gov failing in Guyana.
Would u hire any of them if u have a business? I would not even if their services are free - they (Public Servants) are incompetent and corrupt too. I agree that there are corrupt and unqualified people in the Gov and this is what is going to cost them votes. The Gov need to choose people based on qualifications and not because they support thr party from donkey years.

In reply to the above comment on May 27th, 2008 8:58 am:There are people in PPP positions with worse criminal records than Massay. He is right. The Chronicle rag, the existence of which is subsidized by tax dollars of African Guyanese, is used to demean and insult that group of citizenry. I would rather rub shoulders with a thousand Dorian Massays any day, despite his criminal faux pas.

In reply to the above comment on May 27th, 2008 3:40 pm:justice 4all,
Ok, so the PPP have criminals in the govt, how many and who are they? In the PNC, I’ll tell you -many were criminals, guilty of mis-management, pilfering, mass sufferations (to mostly their own black supporters), international degradation, gross deprivation to the citizenry in areas of education, health, social welfare, information, etc., countless unsolved murders and disappearances, just to name a few not to forget mass migrations, which you and I can surely identify with, cause it was your Comrade Burnham and his ministers who caused us to be here, there and everywhere. Who could be more criminal than the PNC, who coulda accuse them, who coulda prosecute them? Answer that.
I have read some of your comments in the past, but this one proves beyond a doubt your disposition. It’s the last of you I’ll read. It’s distasteful for functioning minds.
And since when the Chronicle is subsidized by the “tax dollars of the African Guyanese”? Wha happen, Portuguese, Chinese, Amerindian, Dougla, etc. doh wok nowhere or doh pay taxes, or they doh count in GT?
How many other newspapers did we have in Guyana during the 70’s and 80’s, and I don’t mean leaflets and fliers like Catholic Standard, I mean newspapers like Stabroek News and Kaieteur News? You better stay quiet about the deeds of the PNC and who is criminal and who’s not cause I will sure tek you on.
I hope SN print my response.
La vie est bonne!
on May 27th, 2008 7:29 amThe Chronicle has always been the propaganda machinery for whomever the government is.
At least 99.9 percent of the letters are written under fictitious names by PPP writers.
If this regime was serious about reform the first thing they should do is let the Chronicle be run independently as a business and stop bullying the editors.

on May 27th, 2008 8:26 amCan Raymond Persaud explain to me how he arrived at the conclusion that 99% of the public servants are PNC supporters?
The fact that the PNC, oops, my mistake, was in power for the last16 years, they are now responsible for ALL the CORRUPTION that exists in Guyana.
All the substantative Permanent Secretaries, heads of departments in the various ministries, all the recent high level appointments were done by the PNC right. And how did the opposition PPP allowed that?????? Persaud, you could have fooled me. tsk, tsk.
Oh and by the way, Mr. Persaud remember the de-gutting of the army in the early 90s, oh yeah the PNC did that too and the last three police commissioners? all Hollywood big wigs, worthy of Oscars. That’s why they are doing such an EXCELLENT job of securing our nation state! tsk, tsk

on May 27th, 2008 10:02 amDorian Massay…hmmm, if I remember well, this is the name of the ex-soldier that the PPP govt. had faith and trust in and sent him to Sandhurst Military University in England, and while there he stole some credit cards, used them, was caught, dishonorably kicked out of Sandhurst and deported from England…after the PPP (the same govt. who tried to do something for him), in an attempt to save Guyana (the country, not the govt.) from embarrassment, begged the English authorities not to jail him. Then when he returned to Guyana, hooked up with Oliver Hinckson and Hamilton Green, two ppl seriously watched? Talk about ungrateful. Well, what a character, and one bold to write about dishonesty…I’m sure whatever Ms. Kimberly James wrote is true, (according to the dishonored ex-soldier its lies). In every lie there’s a bit of truth, with you it’s not a “bit” its a lot. Between Ms. Kim James (if she is fictitious by name, not stories) and Massay, y’all mek God laugh (as in thief thief from thief), so why Massay vex.
The general public should not be surprised about the ways of the PNC. Whatever Ms. James may write that’s not nice for the PNC is most likely true.
The Govt. Service may have been exaggerated at 99% (as a figure of speech so don’t kill Raymond Persaud, we all do it), but it IS very high, and yes, most definitely PNC supporters. So now some of you can understand where the hitch is and why the government can’t get lots done in time. The government should have declared the PNC Party illegal and put the squanderers and mis-managers before the courts. That’s the biggest mistake the PPP made in 1992, today we would have ppl in the Govt. Services with other political parties’ affiliation getting the job done without malice.

on May 27th, 2008 3:38 pmThe money that pays for Military training overseas does not belong to the PPP. It is this avaricious tendency to construe that because the PPP won an election Guyana all of its resources become its personal property. The manner in which the taxpayer funded press is monopolised adds weight to the notion that you guys covet joint property as if it is your own.
Children of the PPP and its acolytes get scholarships to study at prestigious universities, are put into jobs in Guyana they are not qualified for, and virtually live off the fat of the land so to speak. So that crap about PPP Government money might be great for bottom house circles, but like I said, it ain’t your cash alone pal. Covet what you own alone, not what amounts to joint property.

on May 27th, 2008 11:19 pmDorian Massay,
I quote from your letter:
“There is a small group of politically paid letter writers who use false names to protect their identities…”
=================
This matter was commented on many times in the past and met with denials.
In fact I did write the Chroncle about their use of secret politicians to write letters but of course my letter did not get “ink”. I did challenge Sean Adams who claimed to be a real person with that name but nothing came of the challenge.
The Chronicle has a political division on its pay (probably staunch party people), and they write voluminously on everything but always in favour of the government. They attack people who are not government supporters and they praise every sneeze of the government as being a good deed. Have you ever noticed how swiftly letters appear on current events, sometimes before we get the news?
That happened so many times that any person can see that it is their political division at work.
What I don’t like is the SN publishing some letters from contributors whose letters appear in the Chronicle. That should be a NO-NO, especially as those letters appear a day late in most cases.
I agree with you…those letters are by and large fictitious…but it is a party mouth-piece!
