Sr Carmeline worked tirelessly with the community parishes in Mahaica

Dear Editor,
I wish to share Jimmy Ramnarayan’s sentiments (‘Sister Carmeline will be missed,’ SN November 15)  on Sister Carmeline of the Missionaries of Charity.

Sr Carmeline has tirelessly worked with our community parishes in Mahaica for the past four years taking on our confirmation classes. Her soft voice touched the hearts of our young ones and got them out to classes every Saturday morning. She was always a phone call away for me personally whenever I needed her.

Sister Carmeline, while we’re saddened by your upcoming departure, we’re very thankful for your seven years of service to Guyana. On behalf of all the cathecists of St Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, I say thank you for your dedication and you will be greatly missed!
May God bless you with continued health, strength and happiness!
Yours faithfully,
Marcelle Shewjattan
