17-year-old remanded on gun, ammo charges

Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton on Monday refused bail to a 17-year-old who allegedly had in his possession a firearm and two rounds of ammunition when he appeared before the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

Jason Gooding pleaded not guilty to the charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition when they were read to him.

It is alleged that on October 3, Gooding had in his possession one pistol and two rounds of ammunition without being the holder of a valid firearm licence.

The accused was remanded to prison and he has to appear in court on December 12.

Ok, but did i miss something here? the first paragraph states, and i quote: Magistrate Hazel Octave - Hamilton on monday refused bail to a 17 -year- old who allegedly had in his possession a fire arm and two rounds of ammunition when he appeared before the georgetown magistrate court, unquote. Question! did this dear “chuckle” chap appear before the hounerable magistrate with a gun in his possession? or was he found with the gun previously ,charged as a result and then stood before the court to answer the charge?????? HHmmmmm.
I think what you wanted to say was this- Magistrate Hazel Octave Hamilton on monday refused bail to a 17 - year - old when he appeared before the georgetown magistrate court , he allegedly had in his possession a fire arm and two rounds of ammunition. and so on. respectfully.

Yeah! i see your little comment is riddled with ‘typographical errors” and misplaced punctuation marks too. I also see that you are a person with nothing to do and whole day to do it, you will soon be rated the most talkative reader by SN. And now if you have some time sir, reply to this also: Heh heh heh.

It is automatic. One year each for a bullet. I agree.A gun is another matter. 20 years in a light sentence. The indication here is that this youth kept the gun and ammo with the intention of committing a crime. He has to pay the consequences.
