Cyclist shoots Skeldon man over road mishap
A Skeldon man is nursing a gunshot wound to the groin after a man with whom he had had an altercation on the No 63 Beach access road discharged a firearm at him.
A police press release said around 5.30 pm on Sunday, 26-year-old Safraz Bacchus of Line Path, and three friends were on their way to the beach when a bicycle came into contact with their car. An argument soon ensued and the cyclist withdrew a weapon, shot Bacchus and escaped.
Bacchus remains an in-patient at the Skeldon hospital.
Investigations are continuing.
