Water restored at Canje, Adventure
Water supply has been restored in several Region Six communities and at Adventure, after the Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) effected repairs to damaged equipment.
A Government Information Agency (GINA) press release said that at Canje distribution was interrupted last Friday after a pump malfunctioned and in the interim residents were given a reduced supply from the Sheet Anchor well. However, GWI replaced the damaged pump and service returned to normal at Cumberland, Caneville and Number Two Village.
Meanwhile, residents at Adventure were affected when their water supply was interrupted after a transmission line suffered a “blow-out”. GWI replaced the line and supply has returned to normal.
