Dear Editor, The Mayor and City Council, earlier this year, cited their intent to reintroduce zoning in the City of Georgetown.

Dear Editor, I refer to two letters written by Mr Mortimer George which were published on February 28 in the Kaieteur News, Stabroek News and Guyana Chronicle,  and then in Kaieteur News on March 1 and the Guyana Chronicle on March 16.

Dear Editor, A Kaieteur News article dated March 7 with the headline ‘Way paved for National Mining Syndicate body to be elected’ refers.

Dear Editor, In the preamble to the Guyana Constitution it says: “We The Guyanese People… forge a system of governance that promotes concerted effort and broad-based participation in national decision making in order to develop a viable economy…” When you are the government, you make the rules.

Dear Editor, On the 16th March, 2017 at around 9.25am I was heading to Georgetown via the Rupert Craig Highway and to my surprise, I saw a truck bearing the SOL logo overtaking cars, travelling at approximately 110 k/ph.

Dear Editor, A Minister within the Ministry of Education erred in a speech in which Phagwah was designated Diwali.

Dear Editor, The happenings at the recent commemoration event at Babu John made me sit up and take notice.
