Burch-Smith also said that GSA has got accommodation in place. “It was tough to get accommodation for overseas players because most hotels places were booked because of Carifesta, but the players will be accommodated at the Tower Hotel and at the Georgetown Club”.
He also said that overseas-based players Alwyn Callender and Brendon Mounter have already arrived and will be competing in the tournament’s veteran category while Robert Calledar is also due to return. Some of the players expected to represent Guyana in the tournament include:
Kristian Jeffrey, Reagan Pollard, Robert Fernandes, Alex Arjoon, Oliver Kear, Rafael deGroot, Nicolette Fernandes, Keisha and Kayla Jeffrey, Tiffany Solomon, Mary Fung-A-Fat and Victoria Arjoon.
