New eatery serves up healthy fruit drinks
There is a new spot in town that is serving up healthy fruit smoothies, and breakfast and lunch specials.
Fruit Fusion Deli & BDee’s Ice-Cream was opened on Tuesday at Lot 8 North Road Lacytown; it is the second such business venture for Nadine Hing but a new partnership with her and Bruce Camacho.
According to a press release from Fruit Fusion & BDee’s Ice-cream healthy, tasty, thirst quenching real fruit smoothies are blended right before customer’s eyes, and there are over 16 choices of both local and imported fruits.
They are also serving up breakfast and lunch specials and a carte du jour consisting of a variety of teas, ham and cheese sandwich, a range of burgers, jumbo hot dogs, home styled French fries, tossed salad, fruit salad and much more. Additionally, there is an assortment of imported premium ice-cream, sundaes and milkshakes.
The release said that Hing was at one of those proverbial stages of her life having entered the workforce from a tender age when she decided to open a business of her own. Prior to this, she had dedicated more than 10 years working for commercial entities.
“She pondered the choices available since the market was saturated with a wealth of small businesses of a similar nature and decided upon a beverage which would be both satisfying and healthy and hence the origin of Fruit Fusion in December, 2006,” the release said.
Just over a year after opening Fruit Fusion at 147 Albert St (between Regent and Charlotte) she entered into a partnership with Bruce Camacho, and the idea of Fruit Fusion & BDee’s Ice-Cream was born.
