Guyanese can continue to enjoy the ‘mash fever’ at least up until March 4, when the exciting, entertaining, fun-filled and affordable ‘after-Mash’ Rupununi Music & Arts Festival comes to Thirst Park (Banks DIH).

Work of Guyanese icon Cy Grant celebrated

Today in London, the work of Cy Grant, the late Guyanese actor, musician, writer and poet will be on display through different performances at a free event where workshops, talks, family activities, puppetry, poetry and films will be featured.

‘Young Bill Rogers’ hopes to cop calypso crown

Roger ‘Young Bill Rogers’ Hinds will be campaigning for this year’s Calypso Monarch with his song “Ah Campaigning Fuh President” but first he has to make it through the semi-final round tonight at the Mackenzie Sports Club Ground in Linden where 18 other contestants will vie for a place in the final.

Hi Everyone, My mother loves the American, Southern-style, soft, leavened quick bread known as biscuits. On the occasion that she eats fast food (chicken and chips) from her preferred eating establishment, which incidentally does not sell biscuits, she would insist that we go elsewhere to buy buttermilk biscuits.
