Victoria senior missing

The relatives of an elderly man are seeking the help of the public in locating him, after he left his Victoria home early on Old Year’s morning and never returned.

Missing is 67-year-old Rupert Wilson of Lot 401 Victoria Village, East Coast Demerara.

Two of this daughters told Stabroek News yesterday that around 3 am on December 31, 2006 he left home clad in a black t-shirt and green pants. They said that he was wearing no hat or shoes. He is bald and his bottom teeth are missing.

This is the second time that the elderly man had left his home without telling his relatives anything.

One of the daughters told this newspaper that two years ago he left but was later found in Berbice. According to the woman a passenger in a Berbice-bound bus who knew her father saw him walking along the Mahaicony public road recently. She said the passenger later went to their home and it was then it was revealed to him that the man was missing.

The daughters are pleading with anyone who knows the whereabouts of their father or anyone fitting his description, to contact Ann Wilson on 621-2529 or Pinky Wilson on 661-7169 or the nearest police station.
