Police are looking for two men who reportedly attempted to douse a patient of the Georgetown Public Hospital with acid on Thursday afternoon.
The patient, Stabroek News understands, was hospitalised for several days in the open ward with a wound to his hand.
Reports are that the two men went up to the ward and were about to commit the act when persons in that area raised an alarm.
The men fled before the hospital security staff arrived.
