A 22-year-old labourer accused of raping an 11-year-old girl was remanded to prison when he appeared at the Vreed-en-Hoop Magis-trate’s Court yesterday.
Kenroy Fraser called ‘Critters’ of 18 Public Road, Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara was not required to plead to the indictable charge of carnally knowing a girl under 15 years and was remanded to prison by Magistrate Fazil Azeez.
It is alleged that during November last year, Fraser had carnal knowledge of the girl. Following police investigations he was arrested and charged.
He will return to court on March 26 at the Vreed-en-Hoop Magistrate’s Court.
