Farouk Razac murder PI

The post-mortem report for Farouk Razac was on Friday tendered into evidence at the preliminary inquiry at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

Beauty queen Carolan Lynch is charged with the murder of her husband, Swiss House Cambio boss Razac. The PI is taking place at Court Two of the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Gordon Gilhuys.

Detective Corporal Lilian Scotland was again called to the stand to continue her testimony. Special Prosecutor Hukumchand asked that the post-mortem report for Razac be tendered and Hughes after perusing it asked for a copy and requested also the opportunity to cross-examine the doctor.

The report was then tendered into evidence as exhibit A.

When Scotland first resumed her testimony, Hukumchand had tried to get her to disclose what had been told to her by Lynch.

However, defence attorney Nigel Hughes objected stating that the magistrate had already ruled on the matter the day before. Hukumchand argued that the discussion that Lynch had had with three officers was admissible since there was no evidence at the time that she was a suspect.

The magistrate ruled that the witness would not be allowed to repeat any discussion between the accused and three officers in fairness to the accused.

Lynch’s personal trainer Karan Dutt has already testified at the PI. Scotland and Lynch’s neighbour David Falconer have to continue their testimony.

Razac, 44, was found dead in his bedroom at his Ireng Place, Bel Air home in May. Lynch is being represented by Nigel Hughes, Mark Waldron and Roger Yearwood.

The case was adjourned to Friday.
