Police: Don’t pay for mini-bus passes

The Guyana Police Force wishes to inform members of the public that persons are not required to pay for mini-bus passes when they need to travel out of the dedicated zone of the mini-bus.

The police in a statement said that mini-bus operators/owners are entitled to a pass free of charge once they make the required written application.

This written application, however, must be submitted along with the driver’s licence, vehicle insurance, fitness and licence from the licence and certifying office in the Police Division where the mini-bus is zoned.

The licence and certifying offices are located at Brickdam, New Amsterdam, Whim, Fort Wellington, Cove and John, Leonora, McKenzie, Bartica and Anna Regina. Only licence and certifying officers in the particular Police Division are authorized to sign mini-bus passes.
