The case against a teenaged boy who is accused of murdering a presidential guard was yesterday put off until November as the magistrate hearing the case is on leave.

Mortimer Melville, 17, a bus conductor who resides at 93 Prince William Street, Plaisance is charged with the murder of Nazir Alli.

Magistrate Yohhahnseh Cave is said to be on leave and so all old cases were given new dates yesterday at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court. The magistrate from Vigilance tried the new matters yesterday afternoon.
