‘Biscuit’s’ relatives want more access

Relatives and friends of wanted man David Leander called David Zammett and ‘Biscuit’ yesterday staged a protest at the Georgetown hospital charging that they are not allowed to visit him.

When Stabroek News arrived at the Georgetown Hospital a van with at least four armed ranks was parked below the ward where Leander is a patient. At Leander’s bedside, three heavily armed police ranks were standing guard while saline was being administered to him. The man’s bed was surrounded by screens preventing anyone from seeing him and two ranks stood beside the screens and another stood guard at the stairway to the ward.
