Sea Freight Agencies Inc, a shipping line based in Miami that serves the Caribbean has donated $1 million towards the rehabilitation of the Theatre Guild Playhouse at Kingston.
The cheque was handed over on Tuesday to Ms Ameena Gafoor, (left) a trustee of the Theatre Guild, by Ms Jennifer Camacho, Finance Director of C&V Shipping Ltd, the local representatives of Sea Freight Agencies.
Ms Gafoor thanked Ms Camacho for the generous donation and she was invited to visit the playhouse in Kingston at her convenience to inspect the progress of the project. At the moment the middle beams are being installed in the main building and it should be possible to install the outer walls shortly thereafter.
