The partly decomposed body of an elderly man was yesterday found in a trench next to the Mandela Avenue dump site, Princes Street, Georgetown.
Police said in a statement that they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 61-year-old Charles Quintyn.
His body, the police said, was found around 6:55 yesterday morning in a trench. A post-mortem examination is expected to be done on the body shortly.
Residents in the area said that they saw the man’s body in the trench and made contact with the police.
