Boy, 16, stabbed in revenge for slap

A 16-year-old who reportedly slapped another boy on Sunday was admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital after the same boy sought revenge and stabbed him in his abdomen last evening.

According to reports, Earl Lewis and the boy had an altercation on Sunday in their Kuru Kururu, Soesdyke-Linden Highway community and he dealt him a slap. The boy promised that he would “deal with him”.

That young man reportedly returned with a friend late yesterday afternoon, cornered Lewis and stabbed him above his navel and on the left and right side of his abdomen, just above his waist.

Up to press time last night, Lewis’s attacker had not been apprehended by the police who are continuing investigations.
