A man who allegedly had ganja in his possession when police searched him appeared at the Vreed-en-Hoop Magistrate’s Court yesterday and was remanded.
Devindra Rajkaran of 18 McWatt Street, Vergenoegen, East Bank Essequibo pleaded not guilty to the charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking and was remanded to prison by Magistrate Fazil Azeez.
It is alleged that last Thursday at Vergenoegen, he had 18 grammes of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking. He will return to the Leonora Magistrate’s Court on January 10 next year.
