Corentyne chamber elects executives at AGM

The Central Corentyne Chamber of Commerce (CCCC) elected executives for the year 2007-2008 at its third annual general meeting hosted recently.

A press release from the CCCC said Poonai Bhigroog, proprietor of Poonai’s Pharmacy and Health Care, was elected president; Imran Hamid, proprietor of Imran and Son/Daughter, vice president; Tajpaul Adjodhea, a representative of Fogarty’s, Rose Hall Town, treasurer; Krishnanand Raghunandan, secretary; Bibi Azeez, a representative from TravelSpan, Rose Hall Town, assistant secretary, and Adrian Anamayah, public relations officer.

The release said Magistrate K Persaud, who was instrumental in the formation of the CCCC, was inducted as an honorary member.
