Lindener knocked out, stole gold teeth – court hears

A Linden man is said to have committed armed robbery in brutal style when he cuffed a man’s gold teeth out of his mouth before escaping with them along with cash.

Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton remanded Paul ‘Paulo’ Marciano to prison when he appeared before her at the Georgetown Magis-trate’s Court yesterday.

Marciano, of Poker Street, Wismar, was not required to plead to the charge of robbery under arms.

It is alleged that on November 29, at Victory Valley, Wismar, Linden, Marciano, being armed with a knife, robbed Morris Alphonso of two gold-capped teeth valued $3000 and $6000 cash.

After reading the charge the magistrate inquired how Marciano managed to get the teeth and was told that he had knocked them out of the man’s mouth.

Marciano was ordered to appear at the Christianburg Magistrate’s Court on January 8.
