Skeldon stallholder robbed by bandits

Two bandits, one armed with a gun, robbed Randani Rampersaud as she sold in the Skeldon Market on Saturday.

A release from the police said that the woman was tending to her stall when the suspects help her up and robbed her of an undisclosed sum of money and during the process discharged a round before fleeing.

And police in Georgetown are investigating a robbery which was committed on Andrew Yhap of North Ruimveldt early yesterday morning. The release said that two men, one armed with a gun, robbed the man while he was walking home of $50,000, a cellular phone and jewellery.
