Woolley House

Dear Editor,

With reference to the article on QC’s upcoming school sports which was published in the October 4 edition of Stabroek News, we would like to offer a correction to the spelling of the name of one of the houses.

The house referred to as “Wholly” House in your article is in fact spelt “Woolley”. It was named after Sir Charles Woolley, who was the Governor in 1951, the year the new school was erected in Thomas Lands, and who opened the new building.

Yours faithfully,

Sharon Kreuter
