Was there really a` massacre’ in Wismar, Linden? This is a question that I have asked myself since I first read Dr Cheddi Jagan’s The West on trial, many years ago.
I was a schoolboy at Linden when this supposed massacre took place, and despite the fact that my parents made sure my siblings and I kept inside, the knowledge of a massacre would not have eluded us.
