I was not really amazed when I read that Varshnie Singh’s vehicle has been taken away from her.
One would have thought that as the former first lady, at least some civility would have been extended to her so that she would continue her work with Kids First Fund. This can only be read to mean that the Office of the President no longer supports the work of Kids First Fund.
This latest move of the President is part of a persona to subdue and control. He has tried this within the government since he was in the office of Minister of Finance and has taken this over to the Office of the President, refusing to allow the few good ministers within the government the full rein to manage their ministries and has also extended his will to subdue to the private sector.
Mr Jagdeo has once again used his leverage to score another personal point.
